Sublimation Transfers
Every new customer with a sublimation transfer order will receive a detailed instruction sheet and a long list of sublimation products to use and purchase.
What is SUBLIMATION?
Sublimation transfers are made using high quality sublimation paper and special sublimation ink. The sublimation paper has a special release property. The paper releases the ink onto the garment or hard surface at high heat. When the design is pressed at a high heat, the ink is transformed into a gas. The gas opens the pores of the polyester into the garment or hard surface coated product. Once the garment cools, the ink turns back into a solid. This allows the ink to permanently close and encapsulate into the garment or hard surface product. The design is permanent, soft to touch and will last a lifetime.
What do I need to apply the transfer?
You need to have a heat press. You will also need polyester rich garments (65% or more polyester is ideal). You will also need hard substrates, like mugs and water bottles that are coated for sublimation. You cannot use regular mugs from a big box store. Some people have been successful using an Easy Press to apply sublimation transfers. There are many YouTube tutorials on this method.
